Too early to start your Christmas shopping? I think not!!

Hey there lovelies!
So some of you may be like 'why is she talking about Christmas in September??', which is the reaction that I'm getting from a lot of my friends and family! Christmas is my most favourite time of the year and any opperunity i can get to talk about Christmas it i will take. To a lot of peoples shock i have actually already started my Christmas shopping! I just cant help myself but there is a number of reasons that i have decided to start my shopping earlier this year -
-I am a very organised person and would start getting stressed out if i left it all till december
-I have quite a lot of family & friends to buy for
-I now have two jobs and am going into my 2nd year of university, so in December i am going to be major busy with work and uni work, so one extra stress taken away is great!
-And of course it spread the cost! So in December you are not worrying about money and are able to go on those work nights out and meals with friends and family.
If you are thinking its too early to actually start buying presents why not making a list of ideas in a notebook (i may have Frozen one dedicated to the matter), that way your not stuck for ideas and if a loved one mentions something they may want just write it down and they will be surprised how you remembered (but really you wrote it straight down so you couldn't!).
I love looking on Pinterest for different Christmas present inspiration and this year i think I'm going to be making a lot of hampers for people, i think i may even do a couple blog posts November/Decemeber time with some inspirations for yourself.
(follow my Christmas Pinterest board here)
Also get looking on your favourites sights for sales as you can always pick up a few little gifts and put them away, another great way to save yourself a few pounds!

I hope your enjoyed this quick Christmasy
Post!
Have you started any Christmas shopping yet?
(I cant be the only one!)
Thanks for reading!

My Lush Interview Experience 2015! Part 2 (Trial Shift)

Hello there!
So this is the 2nd half of my Lush interview experience, and today i will be chatting to you about the trail shift element of the process. So when Lush rang me to tell me about my trial shift all they really told me is to wear anything black and white which is their uniform, so i decided to wear a black skater shirt with a black & white striped boho top with a pair of black flats.

So when i arrived at the store i was taken into the staff room were there was a couple of others who also had a trail shift, they were all lovely and we chatted whilst we waited for the trial to begin.
To start with we were shown the basement were all the stock is kept (so cool!), and then we had a little chat with one of the trainee managers and introduced ourselves (Tip- Always have some fun and interesting facts about yourself that they will remember you for!). We then went on to talk about what we are were going to be doing for our trial shift and she told us how to approach customers.
Then we went on to the shop floor and was given a tour of the store and taken round each section, then after this we were all set free into the store to interact with customers.
There was a slight panic moment but after the first customer i was absolutely fine and really started to enjoy myself and the staff there were so lovely to speak to and helpful if i didn't know something. We were on the floor for around 40 minutes and was great to demo products, give customers a little hand massage i think one of my favourite moments was helping two young lads find a gift for there mum!. So when the trial was over we all went in the back and was told to wait for a phone call later that day around 6pm, and then we were given a little lush bag with their catalogue and product inside (mine was Think Pink bath bomb!).

Here are my tips during your trial shift!-

-Be as confident as possible (hard i know when your nervous)
-Just have fun and think how many people would want to work in Lush even for 40 minutes
-Read up on some product knowledge beforehand
-Offer customers baskets as they walk in or around the store
-Always smile and welcome customers into the store
-Instead of asking 'how are you?' try more open questions like 'What brings you to the store today?
-Really get to know your customer and engage in what they are saying

I do hope this was helpful for anyone applying for a position in Lush! And i am very happy to announce that i am now a Christmas Sales Assistant for Lush! I'm so excited and cant wait to work with such a lovely team! So be expecting a lot more Lush on here! And i cant wait to see all the season products coming in!

Thanks for visiting
Pop along again soon!
