My Lush Interview Experience 2015! Part 1 (Application & Group Interview)

Hello There!
Ever since i discovered Lush i have always loved their products and the overall store environment!
And since the age of 16 iv wanted to work in their store but have never had the opportunity to apply in the past!. So when i saw that the Lush Spa Liverpool store was looking for part time Christmas Sales Assistants i got so exicited and knew i had to apply! So I'm going to share with you my Lush application and interview experience ...!
So the first step was handing in my CV along with a cover letter, Lush asked for applicants to include a cover letter to explain a bit about themselves and why they wanted to work the company. My cover letter was about a page long (don't make it any longer) and i tried to split it up in to sections which included a bit about myself (hobbies, university) why i loved lush, why i want to work for the store and what i feel i could bring to the store. So within a few days of giving in my application in i got a email inviting me to a group interview a couple days later! (At this point i was a mixture of excited and scared!).
Group Interview
So when i found out it was a group interview i was slightly confused what we were going to be doing and since it was 7pm-9pm (once the store had closed) i was wondering what we would be doing for 2 hours!. In the email that were told to wear something comfortable because the interview was going to be very interactive! So i wore a pair of black leggings and short sleeve pink blouse (smart/casual).
I was so nervous on the day and when i arrived at Lush i was given a name tag (turned out there was 4 Holly's at the interview!) as soon as i arrived i felt automatically relaxed i think it was a mixture of being in my favourite store, surrounded by lovely people who love lush and amazing relaxing smells!.
There were about 25 of us there and to start of the manager introduced herself and told us a little bit about the store, there was also around 8 current members of staff and they all introduced themselves.  We were then split up into a smaller groups of around 4 or 5 and we were told that there was going to be 5 different stations around the store!.
The first section i went to was the one on one interviews, it was very relaxed and was with two of the Lush staff and they asked me 3 questions which were something like 'What does customer care mean to you?' , 'Tell us about a time when you have been in a challenging situation at work' and 'If your won £40,000 what would you do with the money'. If i can give you any advice for this it would be to try and relax and be honest, i tried as much as i can to use examples of how the Lush staff have helped me in the past!.
The Next section was more relaxed and was with a lovely lady who takes care of all the stores charity work, she discussed how much Lush cares about giving back to the community and to various charities .She then went on to ask us what charities we are passionate about, this was one of my favourite section as i love talking about my charities work and the charities that i am passionate about.
Moving onto what i felt was the most nerve racking but fun section, we had to choose any product in the store and basically sell it and demonstrate it too each other. I chose my new favourite bath bomb which is the Intergalactic Bath Bomb (Review Here), i tried to be as confident as possible as talked about the scents, i also got to demonstrate it in the water and i tried to be creative and described the water as looking like something from the Little Mermaid (Of course Disney had to be in there!). A little tip i would give is to think prior to the interview about a product you really love and do a bit of background research into the ingredients

The next section was actually really fun, we got into a circle and played a game with one of Lushes shower jellies, we had to throw it too each other and say a fact about ourselves and one word that we think we could bring to the store, i believe i said 'imagination'.
And for the final stage we went up to the spa! I had never been up there and i now know that ill be adding a visit up their to my Christmas wish list! Two lovely ladies told us a bit about the spa and then asked us to work as a team to create a brand new spa treatment. I felt as thought me and the group of girls worked great together i suggested a Disney theme (would be rude not too!) and we got really into it and chose a different Disney theme for each month of the year!.

This was actually the first interview that iv had and i don't think it could have been any better!
Thankyou to the Lush Liverpool staff for making us all feel so welcome and comfortable!
So my advice would have to be be yourself, if your not an over the top person, you don't have to be! just show your enthusiasm for the brand!.
We were told we would find out a week later, but luckily i found out the next day that i they wanted me to come for a trial shift!I was so excited and nervous once again! So read my next post to find out what i got up to on the trial shift!.

So let me know

Intergalactic Bath Bomb Review !!

Hello Lovlies!
So the other day i popped down to my local Lush store to check out the new product range that have come from Lush Oxford Street store (which I'm still desperate to go to!). As soon as i melt this product and saw the lovely lady in the store demonstrate i knew i had to try their new 'Intergalactic' bath bomb which cost £3.95 a little more pricey than some of the other bath bombs but worth it for treat!.
I love the smell of mint so straightaway i noticed that this included Peppermint Oil and after further research i now know that it also includes Grapefruit Oil, Vetivert Oil and Cedarwood Oil. When you place this bath bomb in the water it creates an amazing array of colours that looks a bit like a galaxy. Once all the bath bomb has dissolved you are left with a deep midnight blue bath filled with glitter but don't worry it doesn't all stick to the skin!(but who doesn't love a bit of shimmer).
I actually had my 1st interview for Lush last week as a Christmas Sales Assistant and when i had to demonstrate a product i chose this one and i described it as 'feeling like the little mermaid' because of the colours and shimmer. I have actually got through to the next round of interview which is doing a trail shift!. I am thinking of writing up a post about the whole interview experience as i really enjoyed it, so please let me know if that would interest anyone?.

So have your tried any of Lush's new products?
Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for reading!

All You Need Is Lush! (Haul!)

Hi Lovelies,
So today whilst i was shopping i thought id pop into Lush with the hopes of treating myself to a few of their Christmas/Halloween goodies! This time of year is always my favourite when it comes to the Lush Products, i always love there old classics and as well as some of the new additions they have made this year. It took me a while of sniffling almost every limited edition product until i decided what i should buy (first) and with the help of their lovely staff i decided on these three lovely products....

Now this is a Lush Christmas classic, every year i purchase a Christmas Eve Bubble and i actually usually use it on Christmas Eve and every year it's appearance seems to change slightly.Bubble Bars are always my favourite things to use in baths as you can get multiple uses out of one and it makes lovely silky bubbles. The scent of this bubble bar is very calming and relaxing and this is because of its ingredients which include Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil & Irish Moss Powder, It greats lots of bubbles and is the best one to have in your bath before bed or a hectic day.

Now come on who doesn't love a sparkly pumpkin shade bubble bar at Halloween? The smell of this just screams halloween to me (see what i did there?), its very fresh smelling yet it reminds me of a sweet that i can't think of that i used to get at halloween! Its ingredients include Juniperberry Oil, Lime Oil and Grapefruit Oil. Plus it has a lovely coating of gold glitter over the top, not so great when you get it all over your hands!.

Every year Lush seems to bring out their own variation of the classic 'Christmas Pudding', but i think this years has to be my favourite, its bright and colourful and topped of with a bit of Holly (i mean who doesn't love a bit of Holly!*joke*). I am very excited to try this one out, i believe it makes your bath go lots of different colours or as the Lush website puts it a 'Pastel coloured island'! I absolutely love the smell of this one as it reminds me of one of my favourite bath bombs 'Twilight' and after reading up on the ingredients of both products they are almost the same as they both include Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid and Ylang Ylang Oil, so it is definite for any Twilight Fans (the Lush kind).

So thats my Lush haul and there are a lot of products on my shopping list including the Holly Golighty (Anything with the name Holly) and their Yog Nog soap, it smells just like the inside of a Cadburys Crunchie!

Have you tried anything from the limited edition collection?
Any suggestion on what i should buy next?
Please feel free to leave them below!

ThankYou
