Latest In Beauty Awards 2015! My Picks!

Heyy guys!
So a email popped into inbox the other day from Latest In Beauty, i am always looking on their site to see what Limited edition boxes they have on offer. That is when i saw that they were doing a  Beauty Awards 2015 box which allows you to create your won box and there are some great award winning products to choose from!.
There are 3 opinions for you to choose
Box 1- 3 Products £8.99
Box 2- 6 Products £12.99
Box 3- 9 Products £16.99
Some of the products have been sold out but there is still a good selection for you to choose from!
So here are the products i chose!
Burt's Bees Deep Cleansing Cream- I have only ever tried 1 product from Burts Bees in the past which was a lip balm, so i cant wait to try this cleansing balm which is 100% natural. Full price this product is £10.99, so almost the price of the box!.
Zoella Fresh Fizz- I am a big Zoella fan so i was very happy to be able to try her new bath fizzer from the Tutti Fruity which would usually cost £5.

He-Shi Express Liquid Tan 50ml - This summer i have started getting into using fake tan more as i do actually like looking tan, and whilst on holiday i finally picked up a bit of colour! so i like to keep up my tan , so I'm excited to try this out, full price this product would cost around £20!.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo {+}- I remember last year this product was all over the beauty blogs so i was very happy that i get to try it for myself! Full price comes in at around £11-£15.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer- Again another product that rocked the beauty blogs last year, Philip Kingsley is a well respected hair brand so i cant wait to give this product a try! Full price £16-£29

So have you tried any of these products?
Let me know what you think of them!

Thankyou for reading!

My First Year Of University!

Heyy There!
So i may not have mentioned before but last September i started a new chapter in my life and that was starting University. For the last year i have been working towards getting a degree in Dance! yes Dance! it has always been a dream of mine and it has been one of the best years of my life!.

Throughout the year both myself and other girls on my course and we have all come across the following questions, why dance? is that a real degree? do you just dance around the studio all day?
To which we answer, because we love it! yes its a real degree! and no we do not!(little rant over).

My first year in university has had its ups and its downs but i would do it all again and can't wait to start my second year.
I have met some lovely girls on my course and its true when they say you meet your friends for life in University!. I have seen a massive shift in my confidence since starting there in September and i can see it growing all the time, but throughout this year there has been a number of occasions when i have doubted myself and put myself down.

And now for the downs, this year has been full of challenges and changes most of them on my body, we are getting worked just like professions so my body has become a lot stronger but it didn't get there within the first week. We all had to work extremely hard to get were were are today, which meant a lot of bruises and injuries. I tried my best to push through those painful days until i realised the reason i was in so much pain was because a small bone in my back had moved out of place (i don't know the technical nam). Once i found this out i a started Physio Therapy and all i can say it got worse before it go better and i was unable to dance probably for a couple weeks, but it feels a lot better now that i know what i need to do to make it stronger.

I have learnt so much this year about myself and about the industry of Dance, you may not know this but a dance degree has a lot of theory work! but it has been great working with some great chereographers and practitioners and learning new styles of dance and growing as a performer and a facilitator.

Now i wasn't one for the University party lifestyle i stayed at home and commuted every day and only went on 1 night out with university, mainly because i don't drink and i decided to work as much as i could on the weekends or i was just too tired from the week. So if your going to University don't think you have to go out drinking every night there is no harm on being focused on your degree.

1st year of university tips

- If you are going to live the university party lifestyle be safe! there is nothing wrong with drinking but try not to do it every night, 1- its not good for your health 2- not good for your student bank account and 3- you will probably miss important lectures!
- Be organised! i cant stress this enough! i thought i was being organised this year but i know i could have been a lot better. try and get all your work done at least a week before the deadline that way you can relax whilst everyone else is in the library the night before stressing!.
- Make friends with as many people as possible! its always good to make friends when at university whether its to study with or a night out buddy, you usually stick with the same group of friends but try to be friendly with others on your course!
-Have fun! enjoy your 1st year it a time to settle in! and there is no harm in dropping out if its not right for you i would say wait until Christmas like some of my friends did to make the final decision! you can say you tried and there is no point in wasting your time and money on something you don't enjoy! lifes too short!.

So thats my 1st year of University story!
are your starting university this year?
any questions? let me know!

5 Years Of Topshop Beauty Haul

Hello!

So you al probably know that Topshop's makeup line have reached their 5 year anniversary! Cant believe where the time has gone, i
remember first getting into makeup and buying their Brighton Rock lipstick which i still have but don't think you can no longer purchase!
So to celebrate this milestone they decided to re-package some of their most popular product, and what better way to celebrating then with Rose Gold packaging! like a lot of people i am a sucker for anything Rose Gold, so i knew that i had to pick something up whilst the limited edition packaging was available!.

So like most beauty products i buy i decided to have a little look round the blogging world to see what item caught my fancy, i knew i wanted to get one of the lipstick but just wasn't sure which one! Then i came across their Nevada shade which is a lovely nude and most of the lipstick i have are mostly pink or red so i thought this would be a nice change and worth a try!.

I think i would like to go back to Topshop and pick up 1 or two more lipstick from the collection (not just because of the Rose Gold packaging, even thought this is a contributing factor!).
So what is your favourite Topshop beauty item? Let me know!
Thanks for reading!

My Summer 2015 Bucket List !

Hey!
So i have now finished my first year at university! I honestly cant believe how quick my first year has gone! So now i have a rather long summer and to make sure i made the most out of the summer i decided that i wanted to create a Summer 2015 bucket list.My list continues to grow but I'm going to be sharing a couple of the things that i want to do before my i start 2nd year!
Here we go...
Disney Cultural Summer Exchange 2016- If anyone read my New Years Resolution post, you will know that i want to apply to work in Disney next summer! Im absolutely Disney obsessed, and i cant wait for the applications to open on the 1st July! I will keep you updated with my process!

Picnic Anyone?-
Yes i know that this is a pretty random thing to put on your bucket list but i recently won a lovely picnic basket in a raffle and i want to put it to good use! So this summer i want to have a proper picnic! Red Checkered blanket and all!
Tie Dye!-
I really love the look of Tie Dye and a few of my friends have done it themselves in the past so i thought it would be fun to do it myself! have a lovely pair of white shorts waiting! Haven't the foggiest idea what to do! but thats what Youtube is for right?!
 Snap!Snap!-
I really love taking pictures as i think they are a lovely way of reserving memories and are great to look back on! so this summer i want to make sure i take as many as i can. I also want to try and create a sort of music vide of my summer on iMovie (if i can understand how to use it!)as thought this would be amazing to look back on in years to come. Another idea that i have had for a while is to recreate some old photo from when i was younger in particular the ones with my best friend! Any camera recommendations? I'm definitely not a photographer!.
Photo Booth-
Another photo related item on the list! i want to go to a proper Photo Booth and get photos taken with my friends :)
Read a book!-
I have to admit I'm no bookworm, unless i get into a really good book like the Fault In Our Stars or the Hungery Game trilogy, and i usually only read when I'm on holiday! i am going to Cyrus at the end of June! So if you have any book recommendations please let me know!
Charity!-
Again in my New Years Resolution post i said i wanted to raise money for charity and already this year i have organised a fundraising night which raised over £1000! But whilst i have the time off i want to make sure i did something for charity! Something related to this is, i want to buy a homeless person a meal , a couple of my friends have done this recently and i think it is a lovely idea and such a easy thing to do that will make a big difference to someones day!.
OutDoor Cinema?
These always remind me of Grease when they go to the drive in cinema! so of course i want to go to one! i just need to try find one near me!
Yoga Challenge!-
You would have probably seen the Yoga Challenge on youtube! I think it looks like so much fun! so i want to try some of the poses with a couple of my friends!
Get Fitter!
Again this was also one my NY Resolutions and since finishing university, iv gone from exercising everyday to only a couple hours a week! so iv done something about it and joined the gym for the summer to make sure I'm ready for my second year!

So thats just a couple of the things on
my summer bucket list! ill try and keep you updated on how I'm getting on with them and keep a eye on my Instagram as ill probably be posting a lot of my summer on there!

So whats on your summer bucket list?
Let me know below!

Beauty Haul Part 2! Superdrug and Home Bargains

Hello Lovies,
So this is the second half of my beauty hauls, so this is all the bits that i picked up from Superdrug and Home Bargains...
Superdrug
I haven't tried much from Makeup Revolution in the past so when i noticed a couple of their product on sale i thought i would pick some up and give them a try!

Vivid Blush Lacquer in 'Desire' and 'Heart'- I have wanted to try these liquid blushers for a while and when i saw them for £1.50 each i  had to pick them up (currently on sale on the Makeup Revolution Website). A word of warning with this product, you only need the tiniest amount (literally a drop) because they are so pigmented, i really like the finish they give on the skin and would definitely pick up some more colours. Desire is more of a dark pinky colour whereas Heart is a more of a nude salmon shade!.

Baked Eyeshadow in 'Chocolate Deluxe'- When i saw this very pretty palette for around £2 i thought i would give it a go as i really like the effect of baked products, and i am really happy with them most of the colours of quite pink as well as chocolate brown shade but i think this will be a great summer palette and they have great pigmentation.

Lipstick in 'Depraved'- I really like the Makeup Revolution lipsticks and for £1 you cant go wrong, so i decided to pick up this bright purple shade which is part of their Scandalous range! I'm not sure when i would wear this but is handy to have in and could be useful round halloween or if I'm just feeling brave.

Home Bargains
I love popping into Home Bargains because as you can guess you can pick up some great bargains!
So here are a few bits that i picked up on my latest trip...
Nail Polish Remover- Im not to fussy when it comes to nail polish remover so i just picked up this bottle which i believe was only like a pound or something really cheap! any recomendations when it comes to nail polish remover, iv been wanting to try the Bourjois one but have also heard Primark have made their own version so may try theirs out!.
EyeLashes- Normally i am not a big false eyelash wearer because I'm rubbish at putting them on and my lashes are already pretty long! but cousin is a trainee makeup artist and when she does my makeup she loves using these lashes and i can see why! they add volume to the eyes and can change a look and for a price of like £1.50 you cant beat them!.
Vaseline Mini- I picked up this mini Vaseline lotion for about 40p , i thought it would be great for popping in my bag for summer!.
Self Tanning Mit- Fake tanning is another thing that i don't tend to do as i can never be bothered putting it on and am afraid of it streaking! i am very pale and don't tan so i would like to give it another go because when i have had it done in the past it does make me look a lot healthier?.

Gel Eye Patches- A while ago i used the skyn iceland eye gel patches, i really liked them and found them very cooling on the eyes. So i was looking for something similar without the £25 price tag and found these by SkinLite for around £1.50 for 12 patches, i have sinced used them and really like them and are great when you are trying to relax!
T-Zone Nose Pore Strips- Another thing i wanted to try was so nose pore strips, so i picked up this pack also around the £1.50 (since have seen them in pound shops), i have used them a couple times and not really seeing a massive difference but I'm going to keep trying them incase I'm doing something wrong but worth a try for the price.
Easy Tease Anti-Tangle Brush- Now i love the Tangle Teezer hair brush and mine is getting a bit old now, so before i go out and spend another £10 (worth the price i would say) i thought i would give this one by easy tease a go, i believe it was under £3 and i can say that i really like it and works just as well as my tangle teezer and the curved handle makes it easy to hold, something i sometimes find a problem with the Tangle Teezer as i tend it drop it.
Provoke Touch Of Silver Dry Shampoo- And finally from Home & Bargains i picked up the Touch Of Silver dry shampoo by Provoke. I have been trying more Touch Of Silver products since going blonde and like there purple shampoo for removing brassiness from my hair, i wouldn't say this is the best dry shampoo on the market but for the under £2 price tag its worth having in as a spare!.

Dont forgot all makeup is on 3 for 2 in Superdrug at the minute! plus you get a free makeup bag when you do buy 3 products!

Thanks again for reading this post!

Beauty Haul! Part 1 (Boots)

 Hello there!
So this week i thought id treat myself since i was finishing uni for Easter (any excuse really!), so i thought i go to a couple of my favourite high street shops and thought id share with you some of the bits that i picked up!...
Boots
Mark Hill Big Blow Out! Barrel Brush- i love looking through Boots bargain bins as you can usually find a good bargain, on this trip i picked up this Mark Hill barrel brush for only £2.49! which is a bargain!.
No7 Beautiful Skin Quick Thinking Wipes- I really like the NO7 skincare range but only tend to purchase something when i have the £5 off vouchers, so on this trip i did so decided to pick up some face wipes which are usually £7 (defiantly wouldn't usually spend that much!) but only cost me £2 which is a great price for some more luxurious wipes!
Maybelline-
I have always loved the Maybelline Tattoo shadows and think i have all the ones that are available in the UK, but i noticed that some of the leather effects shades are being released. I haven't seen them all in stores yet, but when i spotted the shade Creamy Beige i had to snap it up! and I'm glad i did as it is a lovely brown shade and would look great as a base shadow.
Another eyeshadow that iv had my eye on for a while is Copper Fizz from Maybelline, its a lovely rose gold shade and worth picking up plus you get a good amount of product!.

NO7 & Sleek Makeup

No7 really do have some lovely makeup products and whilst looking online at their new releases for Spring i came across this beautiful palette which looks very similar to the Bobbie Brown shimmer brick. I have since used this product and really love it and acts a beautiful bronze highlighter! I really want to try the Rose version they do too! plus the packaging is a lovely rosy gold! which is always a bonus!
I haven't bought anything from Sleek in while but they used to be my go to brand!.So i thought id check out what was new, i had heard of the Matte Lipsticks when they first came out and really wanted to try them out. When i first applied the lipstick i wasn't too sure as it was a funny consistency but after a minute it went completely matte and wasn't budging and think would look great with a gloss over the top and is very pigmented.

So thats all i bought from Boots this week,
And don't forget all makeup and haircare, skincare
and beauty products are on 3 for 2!

Thanks again for reading this post!

The Glamour Party Beauty Edit Box

Hi Lovlies!
So iv the other day i was looking around different websites looking at different monthly subscription boxes and when looking on the Latest In Beauty site i came across this limited edition Glamour, which i believe was released around Christmas. What was even better was that it was on sale the box was usually 16.99 but there was a 20% code (GLAM20) which meant i was able to get my hands on this box for £13.59 which is amazing because this box contains 13 products plus a free 12th month subscription to the your iPhone/Ipad.

Burts Bee Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb-
I have never tried anything for Burt's Bees so i was very happy that this lip balm was included in the box, it leaves  a lovely red gloss on the lips and has a lovely minty scent.
Collection Lengthening Mascara
I love trying new mascaras to try and find a cheaper alternative to my favourite Benefit They're Real Mascara, since receiving this mascara i have been really impressed with it, and for the £3.99 price tag i think i will picking this up again.
Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner In Black Amethyst -
Recently iv been really in to trying new eye liners and seeing which ones work for me and which ones don't, and Stila is another brand that i have been wanting to try for a while. So far i have only swatched this product but it seems to be very buttery and easy to use and like the name suggests it seems like it will be very easy to smudge and at the usual£13 (almost the price i paid for the whole box!) i think this makes the box a bargain.
Wild About Beauty Powder Eyeshadow In Fern-
I had actually never heard of this brand in the past but the shadow is a lovely bronze shade and is very pigmented and buttery! i love the little bumble bee embossing!.
Lola Nail Polish In Stone Grey-
Again this is another brand that i hadn't heard of and it was till i did a bit more research that i realised it was a Marks & Spencer's brand. I have tried this polish out and whilst i like the colour i found that on me it chipped quite quickly! but i will be giving it another go.

Recently i have been really into trying new skin care so receiving a good size sample of  3 in 1 cleanser is great! and from a brand i have never tried before is even better!.
Tanning has never really been something that i have been into, mainly because i am so pale! but i am now more willing to try different fake tans for when I'm going out so its nice to have a decent size sample to try for a high end tanning brand.
It is always handy to have a travel size hairspray for your handbag or in my case my university dance bag to put those lose hairs back into place (especially after a dance class).
Again another sample from the Vinchy brand, this is probably the smallest sample but still a good size to try out the product, and since i haven't really used a serum before I'm looking forward to trying this one out.
I have recently changed my hair to blonde so I'm trying to find the best hair products to make sure it says in the best condition possible. I have wanted to try Philip Kingsley products for a while so I'm glad that i have got these generous sample sizes.
I have seen similar hair bands to these in the likes of Topshop and H&M but have never thought to pick them up, but I'm very happy iv tried them because they keep you hair back without damaging or splitting the hair, plus they look cute on your wrist!.
I have been wanting to try something like this for a while as i love relaxing on a Sunday evening so these will be great to help keep them bags away hopefully!.

Thanks for reading,
So what is your favourite subscription box?
